AREA - PARKING IN MODERNISTIC HOUSING ESTATE

I present a catalogue of three possible solutions to the issue of parking on the estate. I am working on this general topic in the specific housing estate Jižní Město II. I propose three forms of interventions -parking towers, underground garages, and parking house - as point, line, and area. Among other things, I work with the overall urbanism of the estate and touch on other issues such as blind gables, lack of employment opportunities, and amenities and densification. For the car park I propose a possible conversion to an office building. The aesthetics are based on the orientation system of the estate, by Jiri Rathousky.
