This prototype presents a concept for transforming existing industrial buildings into urban farming greenhouses, addressing the challenges posed by the world’s growing population and limited resources. World has finite amout of farmable land, more production needs to be done within the built environment. Urban farming offers cities the opportunity to produce food locally, reduce supply chains and contribute to better self-sufficiency all while lowering CO2 emissions. Industrial buildings hold potential to become hubs of sustainable production, opening a way for a more sustainable future for our planet.

my key experience from erasmus

My Erasmus at Chalmers was an incredibly enriching experience. The academic environment is highly international, and the entire Master’s program is taught in English. This allows you to meet many international students while being treated exactly the same as all other students. The semester is divided into two parts: in the first part, we had two courses (for 5 and 10 credits), and in the second part, only the design studio (15 credits). Education in Sweden is structured quite differently, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance, so you never feel overwhelmed with schoolwork.
