PATHS FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED

Annotation

Rome. Quadraro. Via Tuscolana. Lucio Sestio intersection. One broken tile of the blind route. Is it a problem of just one tile? Or perhaps the entire neglected infrastructure of paths for blind residents of the neighborhood/city? What if they were gone? What if we focused on all our senses? Tactility would be transferred to the entire surface of the streets and the diversity of materials. Cars would rattle a little more at intersections thanks to the stone paving, orange trees would smell at every crossing, the approaching main thoroughfare of the intersection would be recognized by the clinking of cups in cafes and the smell of fresh laundry from the laundries.

my key experience from erasmus

Rome, Città Eterna, is a city of chaos and beauty. Beauty that is hidden not only in its monuments and history, but mainly in the people and the lost edges of the city, which form another "sub-cities". Especially the powerful force of its surroundings, the wild landscape and nature, which holds this city in the palm of a hand and shapes it, thus making it eternal in my eyes. If you surrender to the chaos of this city, but do not let yourself be trampled by it, you will experience wonderful time here.
