Annotation

This project is dealing with connection of the generation of elderly with the youngest generation using a combination of housing and kindergarten function. The building consists of community accommodation for the elderly and a kindergarten, which is directly connected to the park and the city's main green corridor. The connection of both generations takes place mainly in the garden and workshop rooms.

my key experience from erasmus

The key experience is the opportunity to go somewhere abroad to study. This experience is even stronger, when you go outside Europe because one encounters a different culture every minute. The climate is completely different and our Central European organism must submit to it, cities are also built in a different way and it takes time to adapt.

The biggest change, however, is the cultural background of the individual. The students with whom one works at school grew up in completely different conditions. They read different books, listened to different music. Above all, they are taught other habits. This cultural gap is often felt very much when making contact, and especially during teamwork it is a source of disagreement and misunderstanding. Especially in our studio group, consisting of six Chinese students, one local student and three Europeans, we often ended up in situations where we preferred to divide the work according to continental affiliation.
