Mayrau Performance Hall

Located on the edge of Prague in a former industrial zone, this performance center aims to attract visitors to a remote yet culturally rich site. Designed to host a wide range of events, including music, theater, and art performances, the building becomes a cultural catalyst within its surroundings. At the heart of the project, the black-box theater is expressed as a bold, dark steel volume, a distinct and monolithic block. This central element contrasts sharply with the lighter and more transparent surrounding spaces, reflecting the dynamic relationship between performance and public life. The architectural language emphasizes contrast and clarity, drawing visitors inward through its striking form and spatial intensity.
