Institute Slice of Žižkov

Slice of Žižkov Institute as the headquarters for the Association of Pastry Chefs and Cooks, which revives the place with a new flavor, literally and figuratively. The association organizes courses and workshops for pastry chefs as well as for the public. My inspiration came from desserts like éclairs and slices. The dominant feature is a wavy roof, which represents creativity and a desire to experiment in the kitchen, and evokes whipped cream. The building partly resembles a sweet showcase– transparent, accessible, and playful. The building opens onto the street and invites passers-by to take a look and have a taste. The institute will bring into the structure a space where gastronomy mixes with architecture, where every detail has its own expression– like in a perfectly prepared dessert.
