NEW PRAGUE KUNSTHALLE

Annotation

The New Prague Kunsthalle is located in the very heart of the revitalized fortification park belt. Together with the museum, it forms a cultural axis of the new Museum Square. The ground floor is low, split into two “legs,” that serves as a gateway to art. In addition to the foyer, cloakrooms, and facilities, you'll find a café, a shop, and a studio for the guest artist. The façade is made of corrugated metal that reflects its surroundings. The second and third floors form an upper, rotated box and are dedicated to exhibitions. This volume is more prominent, enclosed, and made of a different material – rough pink concrete. The entire third floor is illuminated with natural daylight from above.
