Neighborhood square Hostivice

The design addresses a small public space in a newly emerging development of family houses in Hostivice near Prague. The area of ​​the area being addressed is 1000 m2 and is currently an area with an unclear function, character and diverse surface. The main idea of ​​the design is to create a recreational area that will allow community meetings or relaxation during a walk to the Hostivice ponds. The area is divided into 3 parts. The middle part is paved, which is intended to draw people into the middle part and encourage them to sit for a short time. The paved area is disturbed by planting multi-trunk birch trees, which create intimacy of the place but are not a visual barrier. Other parts are a grassy area with minor terrain modelling in the front part and rain beds.
