Healing trail

The current landscape of Ústí nad Labem, and the Ústí region, is mainly influenced by the period of dynamic industrial development and socialism. Mining and insensitive interventions left scars that are still visible today. Mariánský vrch is one of the „wounded“ places in the region, whose character faded over time. The identity of the site - Kaple Navštívení Panny Marie - was gradually devastated until it was completely removed. The rock, which forms the unique silhouette of Marianský vrch, is being stripped away. The physical transformation of the site is also reflected in its psychological aspect. Although Mariánský vrch is located close to the city centre, it is not integrated into the urban structure and is rather an isolated location. Healing trail helps to heal the wounds.
