When I moved here fifteen years ago, they told me not to even look at the house next door, it would go down soon, but now I'm moving because of it.

G59, an experimental block of flats, has stood empty for 17 years. Our proposal seeks immediate change—without waiting for a final solution. We believe transformation can start small: with low-cost, simple interventions that grow over time. We began by involving the local community through an event that led to a catalogue of proposed actions, from modest to more ambitious. Our focus is on reusing materials already on site and designing modular structures that are easy to dismantle and adapt as needed. Just as the Prague 10 municipality has not known what to do with G59 for nearly two decades, we don’t offer a fixed answer. But we are sure of one thing: the building should not stay as it is for even one more day.
