Where the barrier of the highway once stood, we are opening space for people. We are cleaning the scar and creating a park strip.
On the edge of history and modern daily life, a new museum is emerging — complementing the silhouette of the old Museum of Prague. The floors, slightly rotated, shift in the flow of the city, allowing everyday hustle and bustle to pass through. The open floor plans breathe, accommodating the variability of exhibits, giving way to the light that falls from above. In the entrance hall, time slows down. People enter a space that is not only a gallery of the past, but also a place for the future. Lectures, workshops, educating new generations.
A museum that is not located outside of events, but at its center. It does not close off, it opens up.
