Cottage in North Bohemia

Bc. Barbora Zedníková

Annotation

This project focuses on the reconstruction of a house located in the village Radouň in North Bohemia. The history of the house reaches back to the end of the 19th century, when it was built and served as a water mill. The massive walls made of cut limestone blocks have survived to the present day. The conversion has been sensibly designed, with respect for the original form and character of the building. The sloping site is bounded on one side by a road and on the other side by a brook called Obrtka. The house is planned as a family residence.
