ZUBRNICE - CIDER Mill Estate

Annotation
Cider Mill Estate serves as the gateway to the Mill Valley, part of the Zubrnice Open-Air Museum. Its design echoes the traditional agricultural homestead that once stood here. The original foundation walls, previously buried, have been uncovered and now feature as an underground exhibition accessible for the visitors.
The homestead comprises two main structures. Reconstructed Granary, a relocated building typical of Northern Bohemian architecture, restored using traditional methods. This space hosts workshops and exhibitions on traditional Czech crafts and rural life.
New Timber Building. Inspired by the traditional Umgebindehaus (Upper Lusatian house), this modern structure employs contemporary construction techniques while harmonizing with the local architectural heritage.
