The inner gate in Radniční Street

Annotation
The inner gate in Radniční Street is located on the right bank of the Vltava River, within sight of the Krumlov Castle. It was originally a two-storey Gothic town gate. With a height of 18.6 m, the gate was one of the lower landmarks of the town. The first mention of the gate dates back to 1518. The Inner Gate together with the Outer Gate formed a so-called double gate and controlled the entrance to the Old Town from the Lazebnický Bridge. Between 1618-19 new walls were built between the gates with a gallery (pavilion) above street level. In 1841, the gate was surveyed and demolished three years later.
