TÁBOR DETENTION FACILITY

Annotation
A detention facility is a specialized institution for individuals who, due to mental illness, are not criminally responsible but pose a threat to society and require intensive treatment. It serves as an intermediary between a prison and a psychiatric hospital, with an indefinite length of stay. My design accommodates the long-term stay of 120 high-risk individuals and emphasizes humane and dignified living conditions. It offers privacy, generous views from cozy cells, spacious common areas, and a variety of therapeutic programs. The building consists of a central staff core with three adjoining wings designated for inmate accommodation. It forms a compact structure that integrates all functions of the daily regime and ensures efficient movement of staff and supplies — a key factor.
