The city of Hlásná Třebaň wants to connect urban life to the river. This led to the idea of creating floating piers that are not bound to one specific place. In response to this task, our Singlebed was created - a modular, versatile and mobile pier. Each module is made of a 1200×2400×400 mm steel structure and is fitted with a joint system of steel tubes and pipes. The additional furniture is also designed on this principle, which is attached to the jointing tubes like beads to thread. In addition to zinc-coated steel, a composite made from recycled textile waste is used. The modules can be freely combined with each other, folded into different configurations and anchored to the shore. The result is a variable system that can be easily adapted to a specific location and mood.
