Annotation

The oldest building on Štěpánská Street, located at 617/26, with a severely neglected courtyard; which includes a deteriorating former vocational school. I propose to replace this structure with a residential building incorporating facilities for two childcare groups. The new volume is connected to the existing gallery-access building via a system of multi-level garden terraces with raised planting beds. While the single-storey storage building within the courtyard contributes to the site's character, it significantly impedes permeability. I therefore propose its partial demolition, retaining only the front façade. This intervention opens up the courtyard, creating a more porous and breathable space that links to the adjoining inner blocks.
