SCULPTURE'S HOME

Gorlice is an underground hall, located in the walls of Vyšehrad. In the 19th and 20th centuries weapons were stored there, then potatoes, then film reels from Barrandov, and now sculptures from Charles Bridge are exhibited here. These Baroque statues are in a very tight space, living in darkness, and only occasionally visited. The space was expanded upwards and a new home for the statues was created – Lapidarium. There, they will be displayed and live their life to the fullest.
