Periscope 2.0

Annotation
At the top of Chlum hill stands one of the largest periscope in the world – a viewpoint offering a new perspective on the town and its surroundings. Instead of a conventional observation deck, visitors here look through an optical system of two aligned mirrors, which provide them with unexpected views. They can see not only the majestic Bořeň massif, but also the more distant Ledvice power plant and the panorama of the Krušné hory.
The periscope is made of a prefabricated steel truss structure covered with a lightweight aluminum shell. The individual segments are transported to the top and assembled on site. Thanks to the ability to rotate the entire structure, each visitor can choose for themselves what image of Bílina they will take home with them.
