Refugee shelter in a prefabricated housing estate

Bc. Eliška Jindřichová

Annotation

The diploma seminar examines shelters as a tool for social integration, with an emphasis on architectural and urban planning aspects. The work is based on research into the Czech and international context and focuses on the design of a shelter for homeless people and people with addictions in the area between the Řepy prefabricated housing estate and the Zličín industrial zone. This area was chosen because of its peripheral location, structural problems, and potential for revitalization. The aim is to find a dignified, community-based solution in an urban fringe environment.
