Exhibition of Studio Projects
The Gate
Annotation
The project proposes a new form of shelter for homeless people in Prague, conceived not only as temporary accommodation but as a gateway back to everyday life. Located in Sídliště Řepy, at the interface between residential areas, transport infrastructure and a natural landscape around a pond, the design seeks to reconnect fragmented urban territories. A complex of five buildings with mixed-use functions creates a gradual transition from the dense urban environment near the tram terminal to the calmer green areas. Through spatial hierarchy, permeability and landscape integration, the project aims to support social reintegration while redefining the role of shelter as part of the city rather than its margin.
