DEPOT

The project focuses on revitalizing the former Orionka tram depot while preserving its industrial character and opening it to public use. The existing halls are adapted to three complementary functions: a dance center, a café-bar, and a winter garden. The program supports cultural and community life and allows all-day use. The architectural design respects the historical value of the building and its original massing and materials. The façades maintain the industrial expression, while the winter garden is defined by a lightweight transparent envelope contrasting with the robust original structure. It serves as a transitional space between interior and exterior. The project emphasizes sensitive conversion and a sustainable transformation that strengthens the site’s identity.
