Between Trains

The project focuses on the area surrounding the train depot in Zlíchov. The space was previously used for preparation and operation of steam locomotives, but now functions on a limited basis for train repairs. This project gives new use to an area that is not being fully utilized, in symbiosis with the current repair operations. The design divides the space into three functional parts: a park, an operational area, and a museum. These parts are interconnected both in terms of activity and atmosphere, creating a functional space that can be used by visitors from the surrounding area. The concept for the layout of the buildings and their use was created in collaboration with Denisa Pavlicová, Mikuláš Kolařík, and Matěj Ponka.
