Our proposal focuses on the development and revitalization of the Podbaba area. Currently, Podbaba is a chaotic location where tram, train, and bus lines converge. Although it has the potential to be a major transport hub, the site is currently illegible, resulting in total chaos for those unfamiliar with the area. Podbaba struck us with its dynamic potential defined by movement: infrastructural (the transport hub), natural (the flowing river, rising hills), and human (retail activity, the commute from Prague to the countryside). For this reason, we chose to utilize organic shapes that reflect the dynamics of the space. We designed two primary building typologies distributed throughout the site to respond to the existing urban fabric and create a gateway from Dejvice to Podbaba.
