The architectual design introduces the concept of an „architectural pa
rasite“ – a self-supporting, structurally independent entity inserted into
the historical fabric of the railway station hall. The project responds to the
dynamics of the site, where constant movement meets the need for short-term tranquility.
The central motif is a volumetric cascade. While the object respects the
geometry of the original vault, it deliberately distances itself through
a stepped recession of floors. This gradation serves a dual purpose: it
structurally optimizes the load distribution of the inserted frame and visually opens the space toward the zenithal light of the hall.
