The project revives the garage space in the Vimperk housing estate and transforms it into modern housing with a view of the entire city. The original garages are used as modules from which various types of apartments are assembled in the form of a long "caterpillar" copying the Šumava slope. An important part of the design is also the transformation of the surroundings - a new street is being created along the houses, which is not only used for passage, but also encourages people to stop and meet their neighbors. This residential street expands the space of the apartments outwards and creates a lively place for spending time right on the hill above Vimperk. The architecture thus sensitively connects the privacy of the home with an active public space.
