Annotation

The Chodov housing estate creates a contemporary mixed-use locality, revitalizing the area and addressing social needs. It provides affordable housing, jobs, and quality public space while naturally integrating at-risk groups into the community. The ensemble consists of 14 buildings of varying scales: high-rises respecting the urban context, active commercial ground floors, and park structures. Together, they complete the street frontage and define the public realm. A key feature is a shelter integrated into a mixed-use building, serving seniors, youth leaving care, and women in crisis. The concept fosters inclusion through social mixing, mutual support, and shared spaces designed to encourage community building and in the same time giving its inhabitants maximum privacy.
