Homelessness is a growing problem in Prague and can affect anyone. The proposed homeless shelter in Chodov responds to the lack of social facilities in the city’s peripheral areas and aims to provide a dignified, open integration of people experiencing homelessness into society. The building is conceived as a system of gradual support, ranging from emergency accommodation to transitional housing and starter apartments, and as a natural part of the urban environment. Through shared and publicly accessible spaces, community activities, and a sensitive architectural approach, it creates a place of support, encounter, and a return to everyday life.
