ROHAN

Rohanský Island is a place where a distinctive industrial past meets a rapidly developing modern era. The assignment for the winter semester of 2025 was to build on the urban study of Rohanský Island prepared by the Pavel Hnilička Architekti studio. The L-shaped apartment building offers extensive commercial space on the ground floor, responding to the transformation of the area into an attractive urban location. The residential part is typologically diverse, ranging from the smallest 1+kk apartments to above-standard 3+kk apartments, allowing for intergenerational cohabitation of residents in different stages of life. Due to its location, the apartment building is designed as the tallest building in the block. The roof provides residents with social spaces with views of Prague.
