Exhibition of Studio Projects

Annotation

Urban elements seem to have vanished in Most. Long avenues, open plains, generic housing blocks — a repetitum that emerged after the demolition Most. Tabula rasa. A new city. It grew around the former military barracks, one of the last parts of what was destroyed. The concept of the site responds to the collective memory of place and seeks to create an analogy of spaces that were destroyed, embedding them into the site as the last fragment of Old Most. An asymmetrical square anchored by the grid of a bosquet and a collage of new and old façades. Diagonal edges as different directions of wandering. To walk from the square, move along a wall from behind which the crown of trees emerges and collide with a house — a collage of sequences and moments that are absent in the contemporary Most.
