By the Circle

River, sun, shadow. A 25-meter circle has been added to the shore of Strelecký ostrov. Summers are getting hotter, the city is overheating, and people are going to cool off “U Kruhu”. The floating pier in the form of a circle becomes a clear reference point and the supporting structure of the entire design – it organises space, movement, and program around water and life by it. The arrival at the complex functions as a filter between the city and the calmer rhythm of summer. The entrance building connects the changing rooms, showers, and opens the first view of the water. The layout develops radially – on the right is a bar as a social centre, on the left is a kayak rental activating movement on the water. The entire complex directs attention to the main scene: the river.
