Annotation
Building D is no longer just the termination of the campus, but is gaining its own identity and becoming a new centre of university life. The former car park on Kolejní Street is replaced by a pedestrian route, improving permeability and transforming the area into a lively public environment where students can spend time between classes, meet, or observe activity inside the building.
The building operates through three entrances, making the individual parts accessible from different sides of the campus. Between the main volumes, two halls are inserted, forming the key element of the design. Transparency is a key principle — rooms oriented towards the halls receive natural daylight and enable visual connections between teaching, research, and student movement throughout the building.
