Terrain of Eternity

Project working with a funeral area in the centre of Prague-Vinoř district. Design of a new columbarium for an existing cemetery and an exposed park in front of it. Old linden alley, three post-war monuments, neglected chapel and a busy road few meters away created a tricky mix. Two main principles were used in the project- layering for the park and repeating for the columbarium. Park as a collage and columbarium as a wood or a group of pilgrimage chapels. Both places are newly connected by a side entrance and tied with a theme of two water features, axes and used materials.
