From Mikulka to Berounka

Pilsen is a rapidly developing city structure. As such, development should take place in a controlled manner, with a certain vision for the future that meets the requirements for a pleasant life. The city-landscape relationship is crucial, to which considerable attention must be paid. We are already feeling the loss or dysfunction of landscape and natural structures, so it can be assumed that future generations will experience even more intense impacts if nothing changes in our approach presently. Issues we should address: How do we relate to watercourses? How do we deal with water in a landscape that is not so clearly visible? How do we manage land? How does the development connect to the landscape? What is our relationship to the extra-urban landscape and why?
