Annotation

"Look at how a single candle can both defy and define the darkness." — Anne Frank Trainstation Bubny is located in the city district of Prague-Holešovice above Štvanice island. Between 1941 and 1945, transports with ten thousand Jewish residents from Prague to ghettos, concentration and extermination camps were dispatched from the station. The main assignment was to create a space in this stigmatized place with a modern exposition reminiscent of the complex history of the twentieth century, but also a space for discussion and critical reflection of the recent past. The studio assignment was processed into the urban study of Holešovice-Bubny-Zátory.
