calabrian monster
Annotation
Reggio di Calabria is a city with a view of Mount Etna and Sicily. It experiences natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis approximately every 100 years. Living in Europe's most seismically active region, it's a place where you can witness the raw power of nature. The Calabrian monster is a coastal stretch in Reggio di Calabria, transformed through innovative floating piers. Inspired by the underwater world and legends of sea monsters associated with the Strait of Messina, it creates a new public space symbolizing protection against impending calamities.
