Living under the Vítkov hill

My task was to design an apartment house with a garage entry in Žižkov. The house is located in a new block we created with our classmates adjacent to Hartigova Street. Žižkov is a district full of contrasts in architecture, social classes, and spaces themselves. My idea was to bring peaceful, elegant living into this somewhat chaotic district. However, I decided to add a playful element to symbolize the unpredictable character of Žižkov by using wooden shading that can be moved as needed. Residents adjust the shading according to the position of the sun, creating a new facade with a different arrangement of the wooden elements
