THE HUNDRED ACRE SHELL

TheHundred shell is located on Prague's Petříny, on its northwest side. The public space flows between them without much determination and demarcation. The shell, which is stretched between the 3 new buildings, hides the demarcation of the public space underneath. Backyards, always for one block of flats, parking lots and atriums are transcribed into its structure. Backyards and atria together with trees form cutouts, holes in the shell. The original trees in the block are generally preserved and supplemented with new ones. Just like its namesake, TheHundredWood, it contains everything that is needed for life. In the new materials there are office spaces, a kindergarten, cafes and restaurants. There are also new living spaces in the three corner masses that exceed the shell.
