Senior Housing Na Perštýně

The design is based on a multifunctional building mainly for independent seniors but not limited to one generation. Its main goal is to foster intergenerational interaction and an active lifestyle. Connections across age groups are enabled by a café with a study room, massage services, a children’s playground, and shared spaces that help prevent isolation and build social bonds. The building supports healthy living with spaces for exercise (gym, physiotherapy), relaxation (garden, terrace), and brings rare greenery to Prague’s city center. The design features three elements: a main corten steel structure resembling blocks (loggias), a contrasting organic expanded metal form evoking an airship, and a circulation core wrapped in expanded metal and covered with ivy.
