Connection

Annotation

A connection with nature just outside of Prague? One option is Tiché Valley. At its foot, I designed a nature observatory that allows visitors to experience nature up close. The building respects the various paths leading to the site. By separating the private and public areas on the ground floor, a kind of tunnel was created that connects the main road with the pedestrian path along the Únětice Stream. This passage through the property forms a natural shortcut. The information center with a café opens up to the surrounding landscape through a glass facade. On the facade, I worked with the contrast between light glass and heavy concrete. I used the glass cladding on the ground floor, which gives the building a lighter appearance.
