Jirkov City Museum

Annotation

The goal was to connect the caravan with the surrounding landscape and create a space for gathering, learning, and relaxation. The caravan has become a living part of the city museum, rather than a standalone element. The rear part of the museum serves as an open zone for outdoor activities and community events. Together with the historical cellars and the information center, the caravan forms the heart of the complex. Two distinct “faces” – one facing the city, the other facing nature – foster a dialogue between history and the present. The project revitalizes the city center and creates a harmonious whole for both residents and visitors.
