BLENDING

A proposal for the rehabilitation of the Engerth heap in the Kladno-Ostrovec area. The current state of the site is problematic, primarily due to its impermeability. The Blending concept is based on the idea of a gradual transition between the city and the forest. The same principle is transferred to all individual layers of the design. The routing of the paths is solved in a similar spirit - the borders disappear into the terrain and allow the space itself and the atmosphere to stand out. An elevated path is incorporated that does not interfere with the terrain at all, winding along the edge of the slope. The site is read not only from the inside, but also from the outside - the originally closed, difficult-to-access area becomes a space that invites people.
