The Bird´s Nest

I get off at the Botanická zahrada stop and walk towards a building that looks like the one on the flyer. Massive and brick, like a sanctuary from all evil. I ring the bell and feel like I’ve taken the first step forward by simply pressing the bell... I enter through the sliding doors through the brick wall and a circular atrium is revealed to me, dominated by a huge tree. People gathered around the tree, having a picnic. I stand there and watch them laugh and chat. This is what my life could look like... Then I enter through the door on the right. An older man and a young girl are already sitting there. What must have happened to them that they’re here with me...Just thinking about it makes me have to hold back tears and remember why I’m here. And so I sit, waiting in silence.
