The Astronomer’s building is meant for a researcher driven by the desire for knowledge. It is diagrammatically divided into three parts. The first, a triangle, symbolizes what we already know and have explored. It aligns with the structural grid and serves as the astronomer’s living space. The second part, a diagonal, highlighting the contrast between what we know and what we don’t, offering views into the structure and forming a transitional path. The third, a dome, stands for something unique, unexplored, and undefined; that is why it strongly disrupts the grid and construction logic, serving as the astronomer’s private observatory and guiding him on his journey into the unknown.
