MONOGRAM

Samuel Sladký

Annotation

This project focuses on the creation of a monogram using various materials and techniques – specifically wire, wood, plastic, and metal. The aim was not only to design and produce an original monogram, but also to gain hands-on experience with different craftsmanship and material processing methods. The wire monogram was assembled using soldering techniques for strong joins. In the woodworking part, a band saw and hand tools were used for precise shaping. The plastic monogram was formed using a vacuum press and a pre-made plaster mold. The metal monogram was manually cut out from sheet metal and hand-bent into shape. The result is a series of monograms, each unique in material, character, and aesthetic, reflecting the specific qualities and working techniques of each medium.
