Art museum for Stanislav Kolíbal

The Art museum is designed for an artist Stanislav Kolíbal, czech sculptor, painter and graphic designer based in Prague. Kolíbal is considered to be a conceptual artist and his aim is to evoke balance and peace in watcher. The building reflects harmony and geometry used in Kolíbal´s artwork. The main principle used in museum design is emptiness and simplicity of interior, which further merges with the exterior of the building. The plan libre, which rules the whole design process here, allows us to use glass as prevailing material of the facade. This transparency of the museum provides great illumination of the space, moreover, it gives us different views to the surrounding city park Stromovka every season.
