The presented grant project aims at improving method of predicting life expectancy of architectural concrete and suggests a number of possibilities of increasing the durability and resistance of its surface against external influences. These are often the cause of aesthetic anomalies degrading the architectural and artistic value of the work and construction. The project outlines concrete parameters for conducting experimental examinations to establish criteria for development of a comprehensive archibook for architects, designers and building engineers summarizing the ways of preventing premature degradation of concrete surface during its life cycle.
