Architecture, Design, Smart Cities. Doctoral studies offer over 20 subject areas

As part of their PhD studies at the FA, students focus on research in architecture, history, construction, urbanism, landscape and design. PhD students can engage in research at specialised university departments, develop their publishing activities and prepare for future careers in research and academia. Collaboration on research projects and partnerships with foreign universities such as TU Wien, ETH Zurich or Université Paris are part of the academic environment of our faculty.

The basic condition for admission to doctoral programmes is the proper completion of a master's degree programme. The admission procedure includes verifying the applicants' aptitude based on the submitted materials and interviewing the admissions committee. The subject areas for study in English are here. The doctoral programme at FA CTU can be studied in Czech and English. The standard study period is at least 3 years and at most 4 years, during which time full-time students receive a scholarship.
