School of Architecture. Learn from each other.
12/11/2019

Topic
The relationship of architectural education and professional practice. The format is based on intense debate among all participants. The aim of the conference is to share reflections and exemplary approaches to architectural education across Europe, therefore we need more voices and ideas than presentations. It is also possible to participate in the debate without presenting an abstract. The conference will be held in English.
Challenges
- What is the role of practitioners in architectural education?
- How can the school better use the knowledge and experience of practitioners?
- What does pedagogical activity bring to practitioners and architectural profession?
- How to conduct a dialogue among a school studio and architectural practice?
- What new knowledge about society, culture and the environment can these two environments bring together?
- How can architecture schools work effectively with professional organizations and professional chambers?
- How to educate future architects, urban planners and landscape architects in an environment where the boundaries of professions are erased and employment opportunities are wide?
School of Architecture. Learning from each other is a follow-up to the conference of the same name organized at the FA CTU in 2017 and heralds the EAAE conference, which will be organized by the Faculty of Architecture CTU in August 2020. It is also the first of a series of 5 workshops within the EAAE Education Academy.
