This exhibition, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Adolf Loos, is intended to recall the personality, work, and underlying ideas in the oeuvre of this major architect, whose legacy is still vivid and inspirational. Though Loos did not regard himself as an architect, his opinions and even more his built work influenced several generations of his contemporaries and successors in the architectural profession.
The exhibition is organised by the City of Prague Museum in cooperation with the National Technical Museum, where the exhibition is installed.
The opening will have two parts. The first part begins at 5 p.m. with a “house concert” from the Müller Villa featuring the Bennewitz Quartet, and continues with the intriguing documentary “The Most Beautiful House.” In the second part, we will give you a virtual welcome at the National Technical Museum.
Exhibition of student projects of the Trevisan–Sklenář studio
The Trevisan–Sklenář studio invites you to the opening and exhibition of student projects created at the Department of Landscape Architecture, FA CTU.
The vernissage will take place on Saturday, 12 June at 5 p.m. (for technical reasons, the date has been moved from Friday to Saturday) at the castle in Osečany and the exhibition will be on view until 30 August 2021.
The castel with its new young owners brings a new use as their residence and studios, but mainly as a place of creative peace. The designs therefore respond to the needs and dreams of the new owners.
Matěj Stropnický: "A creative residence, a place of concentration, work and sharing. The park and the work in it, as well as the individual rooms of the castle will provide an undisturbed space for concentration, which is essential for creative and scientific work."
